We just had work done by D&F and I feel pretty disappointed in the price. The plumber was out for about an hour to fix a couple of outdoor faucets and the total came to over $1,200. We felt as though we were stuck going with this company because we would have been charged $120 if we didn't have them perform the work just because they came out to look at the issue. So, basically, we weren't able to get a quote from any other company without automatically losing $120 for the 5 minutes it took for them to assess the situation (which we already told them was probably two broken pipes due to the freeze). I called and talked to the manager and was told that it's because we had a journeyman do the work and that we actually got a good deal. I had no idea I was going to be paying a premium just because someone with experience would be performing the work. Either way, there was no resolution and we're now out $1,200.

D&F Plumbing was very responsive & had my non-emergency broken pipe scheduled quickly. (same week) They gave me a time frame for arrival, sent an appointment reminder text as well as a text to let me know when the specialist was on their way. Matthew was thorough & friendly. There was a piece for the repair that he didn't have in his van, but another team member came by with it while the work was underway and there was no delay. Great teamwork! I hope I don't need a plumber again, but I WILL call on them should another issue come up.

I would not recommend D&F Plumbing as their business practices are misleading. They did not make it clear that the "estimate" was the final price no matter the work that was actually done. The plumber was great and the only reason I am giving them 2 stars. Absolutely no complaints about him or his work. We had them out for a price estimate on a burst pipe. They gave us an estimate of $1500 (half of which we paid up front). The person giving the estimate was not the plumber actually doing the job. A month later the plumber came. It took him 1 hour and a piece that cost $50 to fix. If we had paid an hourly plumber we would have paid $400 max. When I called the company afterwards they said that they way the operate their "up front pricing" is that whatever you are quoted at the beginning is what you pay whether or not the job equals the standard hourly rate of pay or not. This could work out better for you if the job is a lot more work than expected but in our case we were price gouged.
