Hi Lissy: I took the time to go through my criminal data base and review the corresponding contracts for either your name as a client or a relative / relation to a current client. I found neither. I also looked to see if I had a bifurcated contract for $8500 disposition and $8500 trial (as you seem to present in your review). I found neither as well. So, either you are reviewing the wrong Firm, or you have the wrong information. Please call the office so we can sort this out. All the best.I will take the opportunity to say this: a contract is a contract; and when a lawyer is paid to perform a term of service, he/she must do so. The same follows in reverse, if the lawyer is not paid (in full or even in part) then the lawyer is not bound to performance under those same terms; kind of like cell phone service: no pay, no service. But unlike a cell phone service, we will make every reasonable effort to work with the client / family, because that's who we are and that's what we do. But there have been few (not many over the years) family / friends / others that call this office demanding a reduction in the payment terms of a client's contract and threatening to post negative reviews if the demand is not met. I am hoping that this is not what is happening here, porque es sin vergüenza.
