A friend, who was charged a significantly lower amount for their services, had referred me to Padgett. The only reason why I went to Padgett was because of the low service fee. When I had contacted Padgett, the lady stated that the consult was of no cost so I scheduled the appointment. When i arrived for my appointment, I was disappointed that there was no consult as specified at the initial call. The gentleman took my documents and sent me on my way. Prior to me leaving the office, I had asked the tax preparer some questions for clarification. So, not only was I disappointed that there was no consultation, the price for their service was much more than what my friend said she had paid. When I mentioned it to the tax preparer, he blew over that comment. Will I utilize Padgett again, probably not. In addition, Ive requested for the tax preparer to email me a PDF of my return in order for me to forward to my mortgage lender, he hasnt answered any of my contact attempts even after he stated that he will do so.
