Went in for one leaky tire and they tried to sell me a full set of the most expensive tires that fit my car. They didn't have even a single less expensive tire in the right size to replace the leaky one. I felt pressured and manipulated by the sales guy and decided to leave without purchasing anything. Whether it was inadequate stock or predatory sales (or both) doesn't really matter. They failed to solve my very simple problem. I won't be going back.

This is my second review of the Pep Boys at 6200 Stenton Ave. My first one is lower down. Last time I was there Charles was fantastically fair with his pricing and service and went way above and beyond. This time I talked to Sean who was equally kind and helpful. My car had the catalytic converter stolen and it cost me about 1000 dollars to get it repaired. However, the oxygen sensors I'd ordered were the wrong ones. I bought others from Ebay and went to the Pep Boys. The initial estimate for replacing them both I could not afford so I opted for getting just one. Upon installation the mechanic discovered the thieves did more damage than was originally found and they'd actually stolen BOTH O2 sensors. He was unable to clear the codes from the computer so he unselfishly went ahead and replaced BOTH sensors without charging extra. I have no idea why people rate these folks at 3 stars only but damn......I've been treated completely fairly and respectfully from both Charles and Sean and their mechanics I will continue to tout their service to customers. Thank you again Gentlemen for your commitment to decency and fairness and exemplary customer service. FIRST REVIEW: I'm at Pep Boys on Stenton Avenue in Philadelphia. Talked to a terrific guy named Walter. The tires I ordered didn't arrive. So......two options for tires they have in stock that will work the better of which is $160 tire. The ones I ordered were 115, buy three get one free PLUS free mounting and balancing. My first thought was "Oh...here we go. Bait and switch time." NO!!! WRONG!!! They're matching the deal I agreed to lock stock and barrel. 4 tires at the same price and free mounting and balancing. And it's the higher quality Cooper tire with a longer warranty. THAT is the way you're supposed to do business. MAD props to these guys and Walter. I'll definately be back. Gotta love honest business. GIVE WALTER A RAISE!!!

Was told I needed brakes and rotors both front and back total cost would be $1238.I took my car to two other certified mechanics who stated that I didn't need brakes and rotors. It seems like just because I am woman they thought that they could get over. Always get a second and third opinion. Very disappointed !!!!!!
