When the fashion bug bit me hard in my teenage years. I was coming and shopping when it was called Structures and it was the late 90s. Then the Express name took over in 2001 and for 26 years. I never stop until the company and Liberty Place landlord called it quits. Im gonna miss this place. RIP Express

I've only had two shopping experiences at Express at One Liberty Place. The first (which was about two days ago) wasn't bad. (I won't even balk at the fact that the sale signs said 70% to 90% off... but I only saw 70% off signs.) The second, however, was a MAJOR disappointment. I found 3 shirts that I really liked. One of the shirts was so cute that, I actually made a special trip into town just to get it, because I couldn't buy it a couple days prior. (It's the off the shoulder top in the photo below.) I asked the salesperson to hold the three shirts for me, and gave him my first name. I told him I was going to the ATM. He told me, "I got you." And with that, I went to my bank's ATM down at 18th & Walnut. I bumped into a friend across the street from my bank, and was back in the store about 45 minutes later. After the cashier couldn't find my hold, I returned to the original salesperson, who also looked. Now, here's the odd part: Not only could he not find my hold, every time he saw me, he kept giving a "nervous giggle" with an apology. I even asked him if another person named "Robyn" bought the hold. He said no, despite the fact he said he wrote "R-O-B-I-N" on the tag, when I told him beforehand the correct spelling. I searched up and down the store for the shirts and he said he would keep looking while he worked. (However, he kept putting away other clothes from the fitting room.) I asked the cashier, if I could special order the shirts and she told me that since they were going out of business, their special orders stopped. (However, I was able to make a special order on another shirt, two days prior, during my first shopping trip.) I even spoke to the manager about this, but that was an even bigger waste of time, especially since she had just clocked out and didn't really seem all that interested in helping me. Here's what I think happened: I think the salesperson who took my hold never wrote my name on a hold tag at all. I think he saw me leave store and walk past the malls ATM, right outside of Express and figured, "Well she's not coming back.", and put my clothes back on the rack to be sold to someone else. (Hence the "nervous giggles & apologies" when I... *SURPRISE!!!!!!!*... came back into the store.) It never occurred to the salesperson to give the customer the benefit of the doubt, that she wanted to use the ATM at HER OWN BANK... because let's face it, extra banking fees at other ATMs are a b**** and a half. Hey, if I am wrong, and those salespeople see this review, I will apologize. But, I bet you all the money in my wallet that I'm right. Because that's just how the world is and that's how people REALLY ARE. And speaking of all the money in my wallet, deep down, I guess it's okay, because this particular Express is open until the end of the month and after that they will be closed forever. They will just have to forget about ALL THE MONEY THAT WAS GOING TO SPEND IN THEIR STORE for these last precious weeks... and trust me... I WAS going to spend A LOT. But unfortunately, this experience makes me not to want to shop at ANY Express clothing store ever again. All that cash will just go back into my account to save it for a rainy day. C'est la vie.
