Was here for a friend's surgery, the waiting room had monitors to track our person, pagers and text messages throughout the process, snacks, drinks AND a place to charge and sanitize your phone!!!!

This is a rating for the billing department. I had a bill for $20.34 I pd it through my banks bill pay. I received another bill. So I called my bank to see if the check had been issued. She said the check had gone out and was possibly lost in the mail so instead of advising me to wait a few more days she told me she would issue a stop payment. Apparently the hospital had received the check but before the hospital was able to post it to my account, the bank put a stop on it and the check was recalled. Penn Med put an NSF (Non sufficient funds) fee to my account of $25. I called Penn Med and she told me to call my bank and tell them to give me the $25 back. The rep at the bank told me how would they know that Penn Med would charge me $25 fee for the recall of the check. $25 isn’t much I know but to someone on SS disability it can be. An NSF may be legal but I question whether it is moral to charge me a fee as I did pay the bill before the due date so it's not a late fee.

Went to the ER today. Wait time was long as expected for an ER visit (no complaints there). The PA - Sherri Hansell ordered me medication and the nurse did not bring it. Asked the nurse to bring it, she never came back. Hit the call bell an hour later, a different nurse comes in I requested my medication and just says “okay” does not come back and my nurse didn’t get sent in. Never got my medication after two hours- simple Tylenol due to a concussion. The PA came in and stated I was “good to go” I asked for discharge papers she did not communicate and say the nurse will be in with them nothing just “you’re good to go”. So I went to the front desk thinking I guess they will give me the discharge papers there and the nurse comes out who again never answered my call bell, never checked in, never brought the Tylenol as requested and gives me major attitude. I told her I was told I was good to go and was just trying to get the discharge papers. She was unapologetic and extremely rude. Absolutely NO communication and attitude when I was extremely patient- I would not recommend this ER.
