I purchased BFM Memphis chairs for an event venue on our property. They are sturdy, well-built chairs and look very nice. The problem is how LOUD they are on our polished concrete floor (just like the floors shown in their marketing imagery for these chairs). We were too busy with the opening of our cafe to deal with noisy chairs in a seldom-used space, so we admittedly waited much longer than the return policy would warrant to address the issue. I contacted BFM to alert them to their misrepresentation (see their item description below) and to see if they could provide a better glide to help minimize noise or trade for a quieter chair. They suggested the problem was likely my floor and that I buy egg crate foam panels and affix them to the bottom of the seat. Yes, this was seriously their solution. Unwilling to glue egg crate foam to the bottoms of chairs used for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and memorial luncheons, I tried them in a smaller room with hardwood flooring - still too loud. Fortunately, their reseller is willing to work with us on a re-stock credit, but absolutely zero thanks to BFM.
