From start to finish, working with Allison from Philly Home Girls was an absolute pleasure. My wife and I had a general idea of what we were looking for in a house but were not well informed about the actual home buying process. Allison was incredibly kind and informative, giving us guidance every step of the way; additionally, she was so responsive and communicative. When an offer was put in on the house we were very interested in, Allison immediately contacted us and set in motion everything we needed to do to place our own offer, making sure our mortgage lender was looped and scheduling calls that fit with my wifes travel schedule. Once our offer was accepted, Allison and the team at PHG helped us navigate the many steps needed to reach the settlement table. When the seller had not finished all of the repairs we agreed to, she waited (with our inspector) to meet with the builder and point out everything that still needed to be completed. She really went above and beyond and we highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to buy a home in Philly.

I had a great experience working with Peter to sell my home in Fishtown/East Kensington. He helped connect me to affordable contractors to get my home prepped to sell (light handywork/painting/yard maintenance, as well as a fabulous staging company for listing pics). Once my house was on the market I was kept apprised of showings and always felt very in-the-loop about what was going on with interested buyers. When the time came to accept an offer, he was very clear about next steps, and everything was handled smoothly and efficiently. We worked with Clare and had a great experience both renting a new house and selling our old house. Our family was starting to outgrow our townhouse in Fishtown, but we weren't quite ready for the suburbs, so Clare helped us find a great place to rent. She found four great options for us that met our requirements (I had seen several of them online, but I actually did not see the one that we ended up going with) and helped us negotiate a pretty favorable lease. She then did an awesome job helping us get our home prepped for sale and throughout the sale process. We had originally gone with the group based on reviews and their prior experience selling homes in the neighborhood and we weren't disappointed. Clare gave us great advice on what needed to be done to our house prior to sale (carpets needed to be replaced and the house needed to be painted). Once that was done, the team took great pictures and did an awesome job with some light staging. With Clare's advice, we ended up with several offers over ask price within a few days of listing the house (and one open house). She did a great job guiding us through the process of selecting an offer (turns out there's more to it than just picking the highest number sometimes). From offer acceptance to close took 3 weeks and Clare was very helpful in making sure we were ready and we had the last few items out of our house (including lending us her hair dryer to loosen up some double sided tape to get off some hard to remove personal effects). Clare and the team definitely went the extra mile to make sure we got top dollar (and that the process was smooth, easy, and fun) when we sold our house...and did a great job finding our current home. Recommend heartily to anyone buying, selling, or renting in the area.
