I have had various landscapers for 40 years, however over the last several years my landscaper who was most attentive originally, became very casual about the work being done and I lost a tremendous amount of flowers and shrubs,
Better Lawns & Gardens was a pleasant surprise. David has all of the landscaping attended by hand and I don’t have to listen to blowers doing all the work. David monitors the work regularly.
Many of the problems were removed with the guidance of Linda, the horticulturist who is very knowledgeable and uses her expertise to resolve issues that would arise throughout the seasons.
I am very pleased to have knowledgeable individuals assist me in attaining my vision.

A Very Frustrating Waste of Time
I asked for good landscaper recommendations on a local forum and Better Lawns & Gardens was recommended to me. Their website looked nice and I was pleased to see they had a certified horticulturist along with some other nice credentials. I called them up sometime around July 15th and received a prompt reply from David Kennedy. David said it was their busy time and that it would be a about a month before he could do the basic brush & vine removal I wanted done. This was totally fine with me, and I asked if he could provide a quote. David said he would stop by to look at what needed to be done to provide a quote. So far so good. On July 25th David and his brother (or brother-in-law?) stopped by I show them the work I needed done. They were polite and said they would contact me “in a few days” with the quote. I mentioned I had trouble with no-shows for this work before and David promised me they weren’t like that. A few days of waiting for the quote turned into a two weeks. On August 8th I sent him a text asking for the quote. No reply. Alright I thought maybe he doesn’t text. I called David and left a message. I finally hear back from David on August 14th he says the work will cost around 950$. I asked him to give me a few days to discuss the cost with family. I call him back on August 16th and said we’d like to go ahead with the work. He said he like someone at the house when he does the work (fine with me) and I mentioned I’d be away for the next week. David said he would call me when I got back to set a time and day. He said something along the lines of it would be “very soon”. August 16 was the last I ever heard from David. On September 15 at this point I’ve been more than patient and called David again and left a message asking him when he was going to do the work. No response back. It is now October 10th, the work still has not been done and I still haven’t heard from David and I doubt I ever will. Their website proudly states “we’re there when we are supposed to be there” and that “we return phone calls in a timely fashion” neither is true. Save yourself the frustration and hassle and don’t waste your time with these guys.
