Absolutely terrible department, by far the worst-run part of the school. I was a student during Covid and had my semester abroad canceled and needed to talk to this office about my scholarships since the state told me to do so in order to not lose them. For a question that should have taken at most four emails, it took 30 emails and one in person meeting, where the question was NEVER answered and the situation was not resolved until after that meeting where I threatened to take legal action against their school for the mishandling of the situation. I would have most likely gone to grad school here, but this office so soured my undergrad experience that I decided I would rather do anything else than give this school another cent. Everyone I interacted with this in this department was exceptionally rude and acted as if I was an inconvenience.

Terrible Terrible service here! They do not care about your issues nor offer any help. I have called a number of times and got hung up on, i went to the office and was spoken to in a nonchalant manner. They really do not care and that is terrible because what is the point of "financial aid" if you do not want to help students get help and give them options that will suit their needs.

Not helpful at all, Dropped daughters classes after they received verification of financial aid, why would you have a system to automatically drop classes if payment is received prior to the deadline? Is that not the purpose of a deadline????Lost her classes and would not put her back on her same class schedule, GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACY AT ITS BEST, LOUSY SERVICE AND BOTH PARENTS ARE GRADS, THIS IS A BROKEN SYSTEM!!!

Genuinely whoever runs this whole department needs to be kicked out. They need to redo this place from the top down because no one here gives a care about your situation, and treat every case as some kind of inconvenience to them, as if they haven't been given the job specifically to take care of just that. They will speak to you very condescendingly and simply try to rush you out of the door instead of actually answering your questions and giving you a rundown of next steps. If you're planning on attending or encouraging your kid to come here and will be relying on some financial aid, I implore you to look elsewhere. Your case will be left to collect dust and then oops! Next thing you know you're kicked from your classes because loans and aid weren't finalized on time despite getting all the proper documentation in weeks before the deadline. It's genuinely ridiculous how such a large, well-known institution has one of the worst financial aid offices. Wish I could give them zero stars.
