I'm terribly sorry you feel this way about your neighbor installing drywall with over 3/4" gaps on the small ceiling drywall piece that was replaced from a leak, despite my work hiding it excellent and completely unnoticed. We both did a thorough examination of my work after completion, which I asked to do your own inspection as well, which you approved of it in whole. THEN you insisted you can paint it and that's when it went awry. I did not do anything for the painting and you brushed the less than 5 square foot spot, not rolled it so the texture i did got knocked down/flattened, not just once, but twice. I can also tell by the pictures you never primed it with a roller either so the old discolored drywall your neighbor had not properly (or even closely cut) was clearly evident from the discoloring perspective. That had nothing to do with my mudding or texturing, which turned out great!! I have before pictures of the large, nearly up to 1'' gaps on the small drywall piece your neighbor installed, along with progress photos, and after photos as well. The end result after you not doing the painting trade of the work properly comes no where close to matching the texture/finish I had left the job site with...... I left you with $20 worth of materials at your request to show your neighbor and also took 30% off the original price we had agreed upon due to the failed paint/prime problem to try to accommodate your painting mistake.
