I don't often give a review, but I was SO IMPRESSED with this hotel, I couldn't not! I was here for work, an extended stay. Super great for me! Larger fridge, laundry, excellent breakfasts (that are different every day), whirlpool, pool, and exercise room. It's a smaller place, but I would absolutely call it quaint! The folks there all seemed to genuinely like their jobs, as they were incredibly friendly and eager to make my stay wonderful! The lead morning cook Robert takes the time to remember most guests names and greets you with a huge smile and wonderful attitude (and he makes a great breakfast)! The manager genuinely cares about her employees and they all seem to be able to wear many hats... Are very knowledgeable! The hotel is very new, and they keep it beautifully clean. Every few days, they would clean my room too! I have stayed at many places for work, but this place really made me feel like home! They went above and beyond too many times to mention here! They even provided a complimentary lunch for those of us that had to be away from home on Easter! Great experience! I highly suggest you give them a try! You won't be disappointed!! Rooms: Very clean, spacious enough! Larger fridge! Newer hotel! Safety: Felt very safe! Food & drinks: Omg! Breakfast changes every day!

Surprised to see the 4.4 average. We stayed there 3/1/3/3 for Pheasant Fest. First, someone unlocked our door the second night of our stay and started walking in our room while my wife and I were in bed, when they said "oops" and turned around and walked out!!! I mentioned it at check out to the young man behind the desk, he was not concerned at all, and offered a $20 discount to shut me up. I explained it wasn't about that and that it was a matter of security and and safety of their guests. He had no interest in listening. We also had to have our key cards reprogrammed 3x during our 2 night stay. A couple of days later, I happened to notice my credit card statement, the charge for the room was considerably more than the receipt I got at checkout after my $20 discount. I called to have it corrected. The person who answered said she was the GM and that she was in a mtg and would have to call me back...Hmm, ok, then why are you answering the phone? Needless to say, she never called me back! Next, as of 3/20/24. I have left 4 other messages with the staff that have answered, explained the situation, and all have said i have to talk to her (the GM), who conveniently is never there when i call. I am not one to give bad reviews, but I am very frustrated with the lack of communication whether it be the staff not passing the msg, or the GM, simply not caring enough to call me back. Definitely will stay somewhere else next time we are in Souix Falls!!!
