We had to get our cat declawed due to having a newborn in the house. She already messed up our couch and other furniture but that didnt bother us. Fear that our Newborn being scratched we had to get her declawed. My wife called to get a quote about declawing a service they offer and promote on their website. Appt. is set 2 days from the call, the day comes and checks in our cat. The Vet calls my wife directly asking the reason for the visit because he doesnt like to do that procedure willy nilly even though they advertise if youre cat is scratching your couch then its time to declaw that seems willy nilly to me. As my wife answers the questions (even though she doesnt need to) he questions her about us really having a newborn. Totally unnecessary call to begin with, especially knowing 2 days in advanced the type of procedure you have to do. Didnt bother to get a updated call, so we had to call to know the status. So if you have a newborn and looking to get your beloved cat declawed instead of taking it to the shelter to get most likely put down, bring your newborn to justify the procedure youre paying for. PSA they DONT mention about no fire sprinklers, nor overnight staff to look out for the animals prior to the visit or do they give you instructions of after care :)
