First signed a lease in 2020 for $1850/month. Lease was renewed in 2022 for $2100/month. When we tried to renew again, the monthly rent increased to $2650. That's an increase of 43% in less than 3 years. I asked about an extension to our last renewed and they asked for $2750, $100 more a month on what is already a ridiculous increase that doesn't reflect the market value of that property. The home has been vacant since 1/1/23, and they are asking for $2300/month now. Even if these increases are coming from the landlord, Renters Warehouse is managing their property in to the ground. We were essentially forced out due to constant and unreasonable increases, only to find out that they are asking for a monthly sum that we would have been happy to extend for. No explanation as to why we were priced out and on one occasion while we were trying to renew, the owner wasn't even made aware by renters warehouse what they were asking for rent. We reached out directly to the owner because we questioned why the unreasonable rise in rent, and he informed us that renters warehouse had not communicated anything to him regarding renewal terms. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Save yourself a headache and just live somewhere that you don't have to deal with Renters warehouse. I'm glad that property is sitting empty not making anyone any money.
