Very disappointing. Check in staff was very rude and clueless about hotel info we asked about. Asked for water 5 times. It was never delivered to the the room. Finally found some house keeping staff 30 hours later who have two small water bottles. A colleague asked for his coffee station in the room to be replenished - never happened. On the first day room was not serviced. Breakfast was mediocre and Jamal one of the waiters was offensive. Didn't return to eat in the hotel after that experience and ate outside and ordered a delivery instead. Was supposed to get a wake up call for my departure but didn't receive it. Was told by colleague that he had same experience and it's a common occurrence in this hotel. Location is bad. There is nothing nearby. Everything requires a car/cab. Hotel does not provide shuttle service anywhere. Hallway carpets very worn out and dated. Overall nowhere close to what is expected from this brand.

I recently attended a conference at this hotel and while the convention service side of the hotel was great, the actual accommodations were not. Like many others I also noticed a very musty smell, which only got worse as I neared my room (807). When I reached the room and opened the door, it was almost overpowering. It was late and I was exhausted, so I passed it off and eventually did not notice it. The next morning I got up and walked across the carpet to adjust the thermostat and the carpet was soaking wet in several places. At that point I realized where the terrible smell was coming from. I was busy at the conference that entire next day and, again, exhausted that night just told myself I could take another night as I was checking out the next morning. Upon returning home I have been incredibly sick have completely lost my voice and have a horribly dry cough. Clearly my allergy-prone self could not handle the conditions, and a week after being back I still sound and feel terrible. I definitely should have insisted on a new room (even though many report the entire hotel to have the smell issue). Until things can be fixed and a major renovation takes place, I unfortunately do not recommend staying here. Rooms: Horribly out of date with major issues.

Calm locality, spacious rooms, nature lovers' place

Whole place smells of mildew, 25 years past its prime, barely functional AC. Very far below the standard Marriott Renaissance. I complained we just became a Renaissance and started renovating but theyre charging as if that was done. It Might be worth $125/night but until they completely renovate, do not waste your money.
