SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Hobby Airport

If you're going to Galveston port for a cruise, it will cost around $90-100 for a family of four for an XL Lft. This hotel was next to a nice restaurant, but the hotel itself felt old (maybe the dark elevators contributed to this). Restroom in our suite was extremely small for each of us. My 12 yr old is 5' 9". I would not be booking this hotel again, but it's okay for a one night stay.

The worst service I have ever seen with the rudest front desk people. The queen bed is a really pretty wonky trundle and please get your own blankets if you plan to stay here.

The hotel rooms appear to be recently remodeled but they must have ran out of money to finish the job as many areas of the hotel still show their age. In the room the TV was very outdated and colors were distorted. AC unit was very loud and would buzz every time it kicked on. It also blew right on the person laying on that side of the bed. The door to the bathroom was almost impossible to close unless you stood in the shower. Bed wasn't great but I've slept on worse. Went to grab something from the breakfast and they were out of almost everything 45 minutes before the end of the posted breakfast time. Had to go somewhere else to get breakfast. Returned at the very end of breakfast and regular and decaf coffee were both empty. Also watched a staff member empty a trash can then proceed to get more plates out without washing hands or changing gloves. Only giving 3 stars because it was a bit on the cheaper side and the room was bearable. Free shuttle to airport was also nice.
