Thank you so much for the kind words about our office. We're truly sorry about our non-participating status with Delta Dental. We know how frustrating it can be when a provider is no longer in-network.Our decision was not an easy one, and something we did not take lightly. Delta has not raised their reimbursement rates since 2010, despite inflation and rising overhead costs. Delta Dental has continued to charge patients more out of pocket monthly, but has not increased their reimbursement for dentists in the state of Texas. We hold ourselves to high standards, and want to continue to provide excellent service for all of our patients, without cutting corners or double-booking appointments. Unfortunately, we were struggling to cover overhead expenses under Delta's fee schedule while still scheduling a full hour for each adult patient. We reached out to Delta, asking if they would consider a fee increase for our office and they told us no. That is what led us to the decision to drop our participation with them.We have many Delta Dental patients who have chosen to continue care at our office. We file the claims for patients and accept assignment of benefits when available (meaning Delta sends us the payment rather than the patient paying full cost upfront and having to be reimbursed). Delta also has a very convenient pre-authorization tool that allows us to know all out of pocket costs before services are rendered, even for routine cleaning visits, so there are no surprises.
