    Lack of responsiveness is set to cost me an additional $550ish this year (got offered a better car insurance rate, then they ghosted my interest in said rate until I auto-renewed at an insanely higher rate) plus another potential $100 on my previous home's insurance renewal, despite them knowing we sold the house over a month before renewal and promising to take care of the account (and indeed, getting us squared away on a new home insurance policy for our new home). Thinking here? Think again. They'll just screw you over with incompetence and pocket the difference.

    Auto insurance spiked a full 50% (well over typical year-to-year increases and far outpacing reports of Texas-wide hikes for the year, including recent reports of Farmers' own average rate hikes) despite no claims or traffic violations in years. Agent offered a quote for a lower rate (and lesser coverage), but ghosted me on response. I followed up again and another agent responded, then also ghosted me after promising to look into a new quote over a week ago. Considering how we haven't filed claims for auto or home in years with Farmers, if ever, this feels like a fleece job, and the utter lack of responsiveness on moving to a lower rate I was already quoted for once seems like they're more than content to just continue milking us at the higher rate. And why wouldn't they? It's more money in their pockets. UPDATE: Dropping a star further because the "savings" they could offer me now were just over $6/month compared to what they auto-renewed me at (post-ghosting), which is STILL $47/month more than THEY QUOTED ME FOR in January. Absolutely disgusting. Would recommend literally anyone else. UPDATE 2: Same agent helped us transfer over our home insurance to a new house purchased before our previous home's renewal did NOT cancel our old insurance as she assured us she would, and so now manually cancelling insurance to, again, a house I don't own, is charging me another $100 for being provided coverage on said unowned house.
