Hartigan Wastewater Services - WRE

I'm feeling like an idiot for calling Wind River Environmental to pump my septic tank this week. I was home on Monday when the driver arrived and I spoke with him to ask if he needed any assistance navigating the round-about in front of my home. He said no, it was no problem for him. I went back into my house and he proceeded to drive his pump truck off of my driveway into my recently graded drainage ditch and beyond into my yard, leaving a huge muddy mess behind. Incredibly the driver never bothered to tell me that this had happened or ask what I'd like to to about it. He just pumped the tank and left leaving me to discover the damage when I came outside. I called WWE on Tuesday to report the damage to my yard feeling that I'd be content for them to credit a reasonable amount of money off of my bill to have it fixed or to let them return and repair the damaged area themselves. I never got the chance to have that conversation. I was told by an out-of-state corporate representative that they would submit a ticket to my local Montpelier-based office and someone from there would get in touch with me within 24 hours. After 48 hours and no call back I called again and was told my issue would be escalated to senior management in Montpelier who would call me back promptly. Nope. Still crickets after another 48 hours. It's been over 5 business days since this incident and no one from this company has made any attempt whatsoever to call me back, to follow up, or make this right. Hence this review. If you are someone who enjoys hiring expensive out-of-state companies with hapless operators with no recourse or accountability if something goes wrong, then Wind River Environmental is the business for you. Joanna in the inspection department claimed no records of 2018, then admitted she didn't have time to locate records. As someone who has worked in the industry for a decade, I was appalled at her inability to form a working relationship. From now on, our company will be strongly advising our customers to NEVER contact Hartigan. As we will be doing it for them due to the inability to be professional and polite.
