My husband I stayed at Talta Lodge earlier this month for three nights. While the room was smaller and more barebones than we hoped (very limited storage and few horizontal surfaces), the service, location, and overall vibe were stellar. Employee Sarah in particular provided some of the friendliest customer service I've experienced in awhile. The downstairs common area and bar featured lived music each night. The pool and the hot tub which offer a creek view were everything we wanted in a Vermont getaway. We'll be back next year. Thank you, Talta Lodge team, for a fabulous getaway!

The positives of the Talta Lodge are that the rooms are modern/very clean. The shower was very nice. There are also amenities to utilize such as pool/hottub. Easy access to the mountain/ local restaurants & town. Parking is also convenient. However there were quite a few cons that would discourage me from recommending, and compelling me to write a review which I do not normally do. First, our last night we heard a couple having sex. It sounded like it was through the heat vent but because our bed was on the same wall as the front door, it is possible it was from one of the rooms adjacent to us. There was also no ceiling light, only bedside lamps, which made the room very dark at night, and difficult to locate belongings. Lastly, there were no outlets near the bed, and not all were working. Overall it is a good hotel, I just think they need to make some improvements like sound proofing/improving lighting. I also think that the rates are expensive for what it is.

Awesome place to stay if you are visiting the mountain. Free shuttle service from the hotel. Friendly employees, made the tripore enjoyable. Can't wait to go back! Nearby activities: Stowe Mountain, town of Stowe, Von Trapp family Lodge
