DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington DC - Crystal City

The great thing about this hotel is the location! Very close to the metro station and restaurants. We a negative experience with our receptionist who checked us in. She was the only employee NOT wearing a name tag and I soon realized why. We were a party of 4 adults. We had an issue with one room being in the north tower and looking tidy but not smelling clean? And the other room was in the south tower since we were traveling with my 88yr old father with medical issues we needed the rooms to be at least in the same towers. The receptionist Delphine I had to ask her name assured us to come back after 4pm and everything would be taken care of. When we returned at 6pm the new receptionist had zero idea of our issue and said no note had been made on the reservation about the issues. In other words Delphine did nothing! Seth was excellent and responded to our needs quickly and efficiently. Thank you.

I stayed at this place for two days and all I can say is this place is trash and I wanted to leave the second I got into my room. There were stains on the towels, floors, and bedding. The place had an overall very dirty vibe that I dont enjoy on a vacation. You will be better off at the Marriott down the road.

Hilton has fallen a long way from being a premier hotel and this hotel is a prime example. The hotel rooms have an old time smell, design and the equipment and cooling system need improvement/upgrades. However the maintenance is VERY quick to respond to any issues. The beds are not the most comfortable either. Proximity to major tourist attractions is great. Also, Its crazy that you cant get bottled water from the front desk or anywhere after 11p; even as a diamond/gold/regular member

I am writing this on my last night at this hotel.One of the worst experiences I have ever had.The AC had crickets which disturbed my sleep every night.I asked the front desk to please send some one to open the AC and exterminate or take the crickets away but they ignored/dismissed my requests multiple times by saying that the hotel is full or promising to take a follow up action and not following through.I could not sleep at all and it was very uncomfortable and concerning.

Don't forget your receipt if you need it for an expense report. Name, reservation number and dates should suffice to get a copy of your receipt right? Nope, live chat asked for the phone number of the agency that I booked my hotel through among other things and after 20 min, said I had to call the hotel for my receipt. I called, spoke to a person, gave them my info and they said thank you and put me on hold for over 20 minutes now and I'm still holding. Extremely inconvenient. Don't stay here...
