Hiring Nikki was one of the best decisions we could have made for our wedding. She captured every joyful second we had that day and it felt like I got to relive my wedding again after seeing them. Her pictures made me feel beautiful, she was funny, and very pleasant with work with. I think what makes her a great photographer is her ability to capture these natural moments that you just can't pose for, and that is what I want to remember from my wedding day.

Wow, where do I even start? Nikki was the first vendor we hired for our wedding. We met randomly before I was even dating my now-husband, and I knew right away that I wanted her to capture our wedding day. By the end of our wedding, our families and friends were talking about how amazing she was and how they felt like they had known her their whole lives. She captured our day BEAUTIFULLY - we haven't stopped looking at the images since! To start, Nikki really got to know us as a couple. Before our engagement shoot, she asked us about our favorite things to do, how my husband proposed, etc. It showed that she truly cares about her clients and sees them as friends more than as clients! Next, Nikki is really good at what she does. Throughout the wedding planning process, I would see cute pictures of couples and was so nervous that we wouldn't look as good (as crazy as that sounds). Nikki knows exactly how to direct you so that every picture looks amazing. Finally, Nikki's calm demeanor helped everyone feel relaxed. Taking pictures wasn't stressful because she made everyone laugh and helped us have fun with it. I can't say enough amazing things about Nikki. One of my favorite parts of our wedding was when she ended up driving my husband and I from the church to the reception. I felt like we were just hanging out with one of our best friends. I was so sad when I said bye to her at the end our wedding! Nikki is reliable, knowledgeable, caring, and thoughtful and will do an INCREDIBLE job at your wedding - hire her!

You can't go wrong picking Nikki Schell as your wedding photographer. We knew from our first Skype session with her that we had to have her capture our wedding! Not only is she kind and funny, she makes her couples feel so comfortable and like she really understands them. My husband and I never take pictures together and were really worried about our engagement photo session, but Nikki made it so much fun. We had a blast and it felt like we were just hanging out with her, not doing something super formal and posed. The pictures came out AMAZINGLY. On our wedding day, it felt like Nikki was one of our friends. She fit in perfectly and knew exactly what shots she wanted. Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning. I love that they are so natural and feel true to my relationship with my hubby and family! Nikki won't ever make you do poses you don't feel comfortable with, and strives to capture your big day exactly how you want. Nikki is also amazing with little details, like sending reminder emails and even gifting us a beautiful framed photo from our wedding. I would pick Nikki over and over again for my wedding photographer. You NEED Nikki Schell Photography as part of your big day!

If your reading this and you are still deciding on a photographer, look no further Seriously! Nikki is an amazing artist, incredible to work with and just the nicest person! She was so easy to work with and the finish product was beyond our wildest dreams. Wedding planning and picking the right vendors is stressful, especially your photographer, because these are images you will look back on for the rest of your life and a way to remember a day that you spent so much time putting together. For us, Nikki was an easy choice, her style was just what we were looking, shes fun, easy going and offered packages that included an engagement shoot, extended time, option to add a second shooter, ect! For our engagement shoot we wanted to do the monuments in DC, we just assumed the Washington and Lincoln would be the best but she suggested the Jefferson so we took her advice and those are the pictures we love the most!! She made jokes to lighten the mood as neither of us are accustomed to getting professional photos taken but she helped coach us as to not feel staged and to get the best images. She was able to turn around a few images within a few hours and the full gallery in less then a week!! We used these for the save the dates and the website, one is still the background on my phone that I get endless complements on! We had a longer engagement, about a year and half, but Nikki went above and beyond making sure to keep in touch. She would check in to see how we were doing with planning, offer advice and recommendation for other vendors she has worked with, she even sent a Starbucks gift card telling me to treat myself as she knew planning can be stressful. Like HOW sweet! Leading up to the big day she made sure she knew all the shots we wanted, staged and candids. With this information Nikki came in organized and prepared with a plan to take the bridal party and family photos efficiently so we could enjoy most of the cocktail hour. I knew Nikki had a packed month of weddings she was shooting she still turned around a few sneak peek images within 24 hours and our album in what could only be described as record time. She went above and beyond for us before, during, and after our wedding surprising us with a 16x20 BEAUTIFUL framed portrait.. like WHAT!?! She is amazing and so thoughtful I would highly recommend Nikki for wedding or any photography needs as I know we will look to use her again and again

There are no words to describe how wonderful it was having Nikki Schell as our photographer. She was absolutely the single best decision we made for our big day! Not only is she sweet, fun, kind, and generous, but her personality puts everyone at ease. From the first time we Skyped, to our first in person meet up (our engagement session) she made us (a very camera shy couple) super comfortable! She makes it feel like were hanging out with an old friend. She wanted to get to know us, our story, and all about what our wedding day would look like! She also had suggestions for planners, videographers, florists, and hair/makeup artists! She spent over 10 hours with us on the wedding day, from capturing getting ready moments to our first look to the ceremony and reception! She did it all with the brightest smile and kindest words. She is so incredibly talented, our gallery captures our day even more perfectly than I expected! We are incredibly grateful to have worked with her and we will tell anyone who will listen how awesome she is!
