First time here. Food excellent. Fried pickles, incredible. Drinks, great. Staff, fantastic. Will definitely visit again. With me, I had a family of 9. Easy and fast seating. Parking: Small lot. Shared with other businesses. Kid-friendliness: Something for all kids

Walked in with a group of 14 to get some drinks before calling it a night at 9:15pm on a Saturday night. Tried to order a round of drinks to include some expresso martinis. Had a bartender with the worst attitude we have ever seen, said we are closing in 45 minutes I cant make you any espresso martinis. Manager was no better, it was like they didnt want to make any money and were more interested in closing in 45 minutes. The entire place only had about 10 people in it while the other bars/restaurants on the same street had lines waiting outside to get in. Owners should be worried about the place with this staff running it and working there. Just lost all future business of the JMU lacrosse team.

This place looks pretty cool when you go in and the service was very good. Went with my family for dinner and 3 of us ordered brisket (I also got turkey on my combo plate) while one son ordered pulled pork. He was the winner for the night because the brisket was probably the WORST BRISKET I've ever eaten at a place that is a smokehouse. There was little to no flavor in the meat, the bark was non-existent and, most importantly, it was VERY tough. It had the consistency of brisket that someone pulled off the smoker too early at about 180 degrees. I actually had to cut it with a knife instead of pull it apart. This is unacceptable for a BBQ joint. Aside from the brisket, the turkey was good and my son said the pulled pork was OK. Sauces made it so I could choke down the brisket. Sides were very good, especially the mac & cheese, brussell sprouts, and collards. Draft beer selection left a little to be desired -- no decent IPAs or craft brews but a lot of mass produced beers. Hopefully the smokemaster just had a bad night on the brisket, but don't think I'll go back to this place.
