Airport Inn Motel - Richmond

I have stayed here once before, and it was a fine hotel, nothing to write home about, though it didnt break the bank. This time however, was incredibly disappointing. I arrived one hour after the check in time- with a reservation, just to find out my room had been sold off to someone else. The desk clerk said his brother had given the room out while he was away. Their reservations seem to be written down on paper. I do not recommend taking the gamble on this place. Now Im scrambling to find accommodation when I reserved a room several months ago.

Needed a affordable hotel and my husband and I were aware of this hotel because one night when I kicked him out and he stayed at here with no complaints. So we called it was late at night and he said he would wait for us to get here before he kinda packed it in for the night, which was a good sign of customer service! The rate was 80 a night for weekday, 90 weekends. The rooms are pretty basic design wise, meaning they don't have fancy art and quirky furniture. But! The carpet was not sticky. The room was noticably clean and smelled clean, it was even a smoking room but had no smoke smell. The beds and pillows were actually REALLY comfortable. Not so bumpy and tiny. The inside of the drawers were clean not stained and none of them stuck. No dust anywhere. Great water pressure in shower and really clean tub/shower. I will say they could update their shower heads but, there was no grime on the lines there. Just older. I'm of the belief though if it's not broke don't fix it. It worked beautifully. It was quite on s Friday and Saturday night. I couldn't hear anyone's TV and I had neighbors on both sides of me. The owners are the best thing about this hotel though. I can tell This is their baby and they take pride in it. They're friendly and kind, wonderful people. I will come back here any day any time.

It was better than I expected the smoking room was clean and didn't smell like a smokers room had for two nights
