Filthy, no living plants in front or back of my apartment. Nothing works in he business center. Staff is so rude. Would not recommend this to my enemy

The communication and customer service of management is passive-aggressive. Messages don't get relayed to proper authority. When issues are discussed, there's a lot of deflecting instead of healthy conflict resolution. You leave feeling like you're not a valued customer.

FOUR YEARS - MILITARY RENTER WITH ANIMALS. I wanted to give my input to any other potential military renter, pet owner, or any others looking for a place to rent in the area. I lived in a 2-br/2-bath unit on the second floor (each building has 3 floors). MORNING COMMUTE: -Norfolk Base: 20 minutes to 2 hours (depending on # of aircraft carriers in-port) -Norfolk SY: 15 minutes. -Newport News SY: 10 minutes. PRIME LOCATION: -One Life Fitness (the local big-chain gym) is a 10-minute drive. -Every supermarket chain is within a 5-minute drive. -Every fast-food restaurant is within 5-minutes (except for Raising Cane's) -Movie Theatre is 5 minutes away. -The liquor store is 5 minutes away. -Neighborhood towards Food Lion has a great running trail for miles / Suffolk Seaboard Coastline Trail is 8-minute drive away for bikes/running. APARTMENT FEATURES: -Massive kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, electric stove and oven and more cabinets than I was ever able to use, and an island -Washer & Dryer -Enormous master bathroom w/ double-headed shower and his and her sinks // Guest bath has shower/tub - good for pups. -Walk-in closets -Balcony -Dog Park -Key Fob entry into apartment and amenities. *I've never heard my upstairs or downstairs neighbors except for maybe their washing machine running or they are actively moving in/out. We have a treadmill and Peloton and our neighbors have never heard us using them. **I've never had a package stolen from my doorstep. APARTMENT AMENITIES: -Amazon Dropbox / Mailbox -Gym (It's suitable for treadmill runs if it's raining outside, not much else. It's like a hotel gym). -Pool, grill, and fireplace area: Nice area, to be honest. -Trash Valet (we called it Trash Santa, they'll come to your door every weekday night to take your trash out for you). -Entertainment room with bar/TVs/games/computers/printer - I never used it, but it looks nice. COST: -Rent has changed a lot over the years, with the market, so hard to judge, but year to year will not vary much. -Electric ranges between $60-100 (Dominion Energy) -Internet is between $70-100 (Spectrum) -Pet Fee per pet per month - $35 CONS: -Your post office isn't the one 2 minutes away from the apartment but instead the one 20 minutes away. -Trash Santa's chimney (the dumpster) may overflow before the city comes to pick it up - the crew is quick to clean up, though. -Dog Park may get rained out (although they've modified it three times over the years to attempt to fix the problem). THINGS I'LL MISS MOVING AWAY: -The double-headed shower, oh my god. -The staff's ability to work around military's schedule and help get situated.

I love it here! Cant wait until it gets warm to be in the pool. Everyone in the leasing office is so helpful and friendly. They made my move in process so easy. I love that there is an Amazon Hub in the community!!

Poorly run apartment complex. Our first year here was average at best. This year we had a new set of neighbors move in and they scream and bang all hours of the day and night. We have submitted our complaints to the office and have to pull teeth to get any type of response with little to no action being taken. The office simply states there's nothing they can do at the moment. In addition, we submitted a maintenance request almost two weeks ago and it has yet to be completed. We had a maintenance worker come to our apartment and state he didnt want to replace/fix the issue. We will not be recommending this apartment complex to anyone. The price is too high for the poor customer service from the office and the poor excuse they offer for their "maintenance". Overall, we are extremely disappointed in the entire experience. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
