Thought I'd share a great review because I have received the best care from Tanita Sweat. She is very attentive and has helped my anxiety tremendously. I wouldn't be me without her. I'm finally feeling a lot better because of her also. So thank you so much. Life isn't as hard because my psychiatrist has done nothing but work hard to get me on the right medications.

I have been a patient for over or close to a year. I wanted to find a woman owned, black owned office to attend. Pretty quickly, I began having problems with the front desk\ receptionist. She was annoyed when I would call- (because things were not being done) and I had to keep following up. I've called multiple times and the phone just rings and rings and rings (during business hours). I suppose that she is just overwhelmed as I think she is the only person working the desk. I really enjoyed Dr C. Jennings, except for the fact that the previous appointment would run over and I would wait quite a long time to be seen, and my appointment is very quick. There are problems with the EMR and getting my medication is always a struggle between the drug shortage or EMR problems. I thought I had it worked out, but here I am, again, waiting for my medication, making multiple texts, because the computer isn't working(????) I'm a mother and wife and I care for my in laws and I don't have time for this. I want to support the office, but I have been so patient and understanding.... I am getting frustrated by the amount of work I have to do, nearly each month, to make sure I'm not lost in the shuffle. This all seems like management\ tech issues. Ms Jennings is wonderful and capable otherwise. But the issues I find myself dealing with are nearly every time I have an appointment or need my medication. It's unfortunate that it's the reality. Please hire more help or switch EMRs!!! Even if the computer isn't working, they should be able to do a paper prescription or call it in to the pharmacy using a Tax Id and NPI.

Do not go here. I used to have a great NP so I stuck around but ever since she left its been awful. They never answer the phone. Curstina Jennings does not show up for appointments and calls hours later from a random number, doesnt take any time with you and doesnt listen to your needs. Tried to prescribe me med I am allergic to, etc etc. I was told to call in monthly to request my own prescription refill and when I do it is not filled. I have to follow up through text, email, phone, webportal, and still we will send her another request. My life insurance was denied bc shes just been sitting on my paperwork. I have been requesting another dr for months and they havent switched me. Also if you dont prepay prior to the apt they text threatening to cancel your apt. This is hard to do when they havent even generated a bill and nothing is owed in the billing portal. They basically want you to prepay a credit to your account, and youre supposed to magically know this, no one communicates at all. Its just awful all around. And as a mental health center, dont stress yourself. Huge red flags everywhere. Edit: within one hr of posting this review my prescription was refilled. I got a text the next day saying she no longer worked there and they would put me with a new dr. When I tried to schedule with the new dr they said I had to meet with ms Jennings again otherwise I could not refill my medication. They said she still worked there and would not put me with another dr. Put my refill request in 2 weeks ago. 4 web portal requests and 3+ phone calls (more than that but 3 that were actually confirmed that the office also sent messages to the dr) and still no refill. Been out of my medication for over a week now. Feel free to submit your own complaint to dept of health if you are experiencing the same at Charis, this is unacceptable for any medical provider. Also there is no other nurse or manager or head of office to speak to. You will only ever get the receptionist or staff and they wont allow you to switch drs, they will give you the run around endlessly, and over schedule apts to bill your insurance and act like they have no clue what is going on.
