Thank you for your feedback. My hope is that this response will clarify the situation for not only you, but all readers. A lender cannot legally answer questions from other parties not on contract for a specific transaction. This means we are prohibited by law from talking to sellers, Realtors for other transactions waiting in line behind the one we are involved with, or other transaction professionals such as lenders, appraisers, title companies, etc., not party to the transaction in question. We are only authorized to speak to our buyer and the professionals outlined in that buyer's contract. The only exception would be a signed and notarized document from the buyer allowing us to speak to specifically named individuals. So although I apologize for your inconvenience, what you were asking us to do was in fact illegal. All the best. Update: Cindy, you were not my client and not entitled to any privileged information. As mentioned before, we were not able to communicate with anyone that was not specifically on the contract. I have over 400 5-star reviews. I regret that you are unhappy with me and my team and that you do not understand the policy that we are held legally liable to in regard to communication with those not directly on a contract.
