I retained lutz and associates after leaving another sub par firm. I originally spoke with Mr Lutz himself and he handles my case for about a month before handing it off to an associate attorney. My case involved establishing parentage and temp orders for a custody case. The other party was pro se for months and I was somehow getting railroaded in court while being represented. It took 6 months to get a temp order and cost over 25k. Lots and lots and lots of smaller trust deposits. I was originally quoted 7-9k to gain temp orders. It was triple that. After a disappointing hand down of temp orders from the court, my attorney suggested we do a revision hearing and quoted 4k with travel expenses included. My attorney blew threw 4k+ preparing for revision, failed to confirm the hearing, the hearing got pushed out. Once the hearing got pushed out, my attorney requested another 5k to finish the hearing and submitted an intent to withdraw with the court. My attorney withdrew 4 days before the revision hearing, after 6 months and tens of thousands of dollars. Throughout the entire case, Lutz and associates failed to confirm hearings 3 separate times, including for their own revision hearing!!! They also gave me the wrong time for a court hearing, one in which I flew into WA for from CA. I arrived to the hearing and got told it was in the morning! Bouncing between paralegals, an entitled staff of nincompoops, not submitting evidence I was providing, agreeing to a child support plan in a private zoom meeting with opponents attorney and not consulting me, he didnt even make sure the court adopted the correct financial statements. Yes, because of this firm, I pay child support based on an income I have never even made! Terrible diligence. One thing Ive learned is that Firms absolutely suck. Too many moving parts, too many people in and out, and not a lot of accountability. Lutz is very make money driven, not family driven or morally driven or even ethnically driven. If you sign with them just be aware that the initial trust deposit will be at least doubled if not tripled and they will do it in a very subtle, spread out way, so you dont realize how much youre actually spending. 5k here, 2500 here, 3500 there, another 4k should do it, we need another 6k. Yeah, its never ending here. My opponents attorney is far better and I could not regret my time with Lutz and associates more. Just fing run from this place. They only exist to drain you and your valuable resources.

I feel fortunate literally every day of my life for the past two years that Andrew Voelker has been my attorney. Andrew handled my complicated divorce that included a protection order, extreme property damage to the home, and all while the ex was in the process of being criminally prosecuted (found guilty) and relentlessly pursuing vindictive measures against me, to state my case in the simplest terms. Besides having a great personality that is easy to get along and work with, Andrew is dedicated, thorough, available and responsive, compassionate and does an absolute outstanding job. He has knocked it out of the park, as far as Im concerned, with his knowledge and expertise in the subject matters required for my case. When/if unsure of something, he has tapped on his extensive resource bank and been successful at resolving newly learned issues as well, seemingly handling them with ease. He is a true professional, and an asset to his field. I couldn't recommend him more highly. To respond to a couple of the reviews on here - yes, the office in general has experienced turnover with paralegals, but I never found that to be an issue, each time was seamless. I also find that has been the case in the work world in general since COVID...I don't know anything about any of the other attorneys at Lutz, I just thank my lucky stars every day that I got Andrew.

Terrible experience. Gave them the exact terminology of what needed to be in the will. Never put it in the will. Then told me it was all completed. Didnt do anything I asked for and when asked them if they could add my dads request, they told me to not contact them again. Poor service. Will be hiring another attorney to address these issues

Contacted this office inquiring about filing out 1 piece of paper to submit to the court, a motion to convert a legal seperation order to a final divorce order. Was told by a rude person named April there was a $200 consult fee. I ask twice if they could guide me through the process in the 30 minute consult. She would not give me a straight answer and told me they charge $1000 to do this. When I told her I thought that was an exorbitant amount to file 1 piece of paper, she said ok goodbye and hung up on me. Zero stars. Rude and unhelpful. I got the info I needed from an online legal site for $50.

This attorney was ineffective and made mistakes that were very costly in my divorce filing. His office turnover is frequent, and lack of communication and basic note keeping is all by design to keep billing you, and holding your case from moving forward. Do not hire this office. David Lutz cares more about his SEO/google rating and double billing you than actual representation.

Dear Brandon,It pains us to hear that your experience with our attorney did not net you the outcome you desired. Nobody likes to lose their legal case in court, us included. Since you say your involvement was negative with both us and with your previous firm, we understand your anger and condemnation. You feel we let you down. At times an attorney is only as good as the merits of the case and the client’s decision-making processes are, and litigation can be messy, frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive. It is also natural for a firm to absorb the blame when things don’t go the client's way. Even if we question that client’s assessment, we do always try our best with every case and try to learn from every less than desirable outcome. That is what we do in family law. While we disagree with some of the points you have made in your review, the end result is that you were unhappy with our representation. We regret that immensely, since we failed to meet our goal of making things right for every client that gives us their trust and the opportunity to serve. We appreciate your comments, because positive OR negative, your feedback helps us get better.

Nicole, thank you for your 5-Star stellar review! We pride ourselves on trying to go above and beyond expectations for each and every client we have, and we are so pleased that Andrew Voelker's efforts paid off for you. We work hard to try to make things right for the families we represent. Though it wasn't problematic, in your comments you touched on an issue that seems to affect us all no matter our business, employee retention! Everyone faces turnover and it can be distracting for both clients and businesses, but at Lutz & Associates we have developed a strong, dependable team that is ready and able to come out swinging. Thank you so much for your great compliments!

Dear S. Mason,We are sorry you had a frustrating experience. When we were contracted to draft your father’s Will in late 2022, those documents were delivered to you in February of 2023. During the next 7 weeks we contacted you multiple times to give you the opportunity to review the documents and make revisions before executing them. Unfortunately it was too late to make revisions when you contacted us in January 2024. We endeavor to satisfy every client’s needs, so we apologize for not meeting yours.

Dear Jeff,Thank you for sharing your feedback. It is our policy to answer every phone call so we can provide answers, help, and hope to callers. In some instances (like yours), we can’t always reply to legal questions immediately because we value accuracy. Your phone call answered by April was one of her first as a new employee, and we are sorry 1) for the delay it took while our staff member tried to find the correct information for you and 2) for the way the phone call ended; this is NOT how it should have been handled. We hope you received the legal assistance you were seeking and we will strive to improve our service to meet or beat client expectations.
