The Surf and Surfside Apartments

PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING: FYI The Surf ran a special and paid tenants for their five star reviews. I would not recommend living in this building. Everything about it is incredibly dated. The laundry room reeks of mold and you pay a similar price to significantly better apartments in the same area. You are essentially just paying for the location.

I am in Madison as an exchange student for the year 2022/2023. Surf apartments really surprised me, the location is perfect, between State Street and the Lake Mendota, the area is awesome for students. Our views from the apartment to the lake are amazing too

The experience is great, especially the manager Robin. She always replies email and solves problem in time. But the elevator in the surfside building is a little crapy.

Great view and wonderful staff that does their best to accommodate tenants & their needs. Appliances are higher end. Overall a great place for students or professional adults alike.

I have been living in The Surf for the past year and I couldn't be happier. The apartment is very nice and has great views of the lake. Also, it is well located, close to the city center and to university buildings like the business school or Bascom Hall. Finally, the atmosphere in the building is very good, and safe. I highly recommend living here!
