3rd Gen Deck Builders Madison WI

The company completely rebuilt an elevated deck at our condo. The whole project went extremely well. They were very helpful in the planning phase and were cognizant of building codes that other companies bidding the project were unaware of saving us from any inspection woes. Additionally they were used to dealing with the additional approval layer needed by the condo association. Communication was excellent: Autumn kept us informed at every step of the construction. The building team did a wonderful job with great attention to detail. The workmanship was faultless. We were also amazed that they kept working through some inclement weather conditions. We would highly recommend this company.

We had an absolutely amazing experience working with Matt and his team. From the quoting process all the way until our deck project was completed the team was super helpful, professional, communicative and most importantly the deck looks absolutely fantastic. We would definitely recommend them for any project and will be using them again in the future!

Professional and detail oriented from start to finish of the project! We especially appreciated Brian and Kasity who did the installation. They checked every day with updates and questions to keep the project moving. We have a beautiful new deck!

We recently used 3rd Gen for re-building part of our deck and to also finish part of our basement. Since the very first time I called them, the person who answered (Alex) was very helpful and professional. He promptly came to my home to review my existing deck and reviewed the structural issues with it. He gave me several different quotes based on the type of materials they could use. Later, Matt came to our home to finalize the plans. I found both Alex and Matt to be very knowledgeable about deck building and codes. Matt took the time to give answers with thoughtful explanation and reasoning which made me feel comfortable with them even before work was started. Once started, the actual project moved swiftly. I reviewed the progress daily after the workers left and I felt everything was flawless. When I did find something not to my liking, I texted Matt who was very responsive and did the troubleshooting immediately. He kept me up to speed with everything and they finished on exact time they quoted. Since I was happy with them, I also used their services to finish part of my basement which again went very well. As I said, one of the biggest reasons why I felt comfortable with them right from the start was how quick and responsive their team was. They got back to my calls and emails very quickly. Overall, their cost was quite reasonable. If I need any contractor work in the future, I am surely going to give them a call.

Can't give high enough praise! All of their teams were professional and courteous. We brought 3rd Gen in to demolish and rebuild our garage wider and deeper the the previous one. They helped with everything from drawing out the new garage area to managing any sub contractors. Matt and team also took delays and mix-ups in stride. Concrete pouring and repouring as well as an owner mistake when running outlet and light boxes. They took each in stride and helped keep the project moving towards completion. Their work is awesome and we will definitely use 3rd Gen again!
