Mark is an upfront and honest man who earned my respect during our short visit. We popped in for a consultation yesterday and talked for about half an hour about getting our jointly married taxes done with them. One of us is self employed, thus more complicated. He took a look at our returns, and with the exception of a few smalls things, admitted that with the handle I had on doing my own taxes, that there wasn't much they would be able to help us with additionally that I wasn't already doing quite well. He gave me some advice on a few things, and I offered to pay for the consultation but he didn't charge a thing. We may still come back to them for services in the future with confidence. The goodwill they had was both refreshing and appreciated.

Very disappointed. I had a meeting in January to discuss my situation where my dad killed himself in 2023. I wanted some help with taxes since I never have had to do taxes for someone else let alone someone whos deceased. I was told everything seemed straightforward and it would be no big deal. Honestly it was a relief because the last some months had been hell. Im the one that also found my dad so theres been a lot going on in my life. I was out of the country from February 22nd through March 12th. I get back and start organizing paperwork, etc. Some went to me others companies I had to call and some ended up at my dads address. I email Mark this week saying I can drop off all the documents. He says thats fine. I had some digital and some paper. I email him today saying Ill stop by since I have some time over lunch. I drive there in snow only for the woman in the front to tell me after I sit in the lobby and fill out paperwork that these returns will have to be filed with an extension. What? No one has said any thing up until this point. His son comes out and says something about March 15th. Ok thats fine if thats your rule but why wasnt I told that in all these interactions? I had an appointment. There were email messages. No one says anything until I come in snow over my work lunch break. And worse didnt say anything til Im about to leave. Well no if thats the case Ill figure out how to get them done. They seem uncertain and I leave. They call me a couple blocks into my drive to say yeah this is definitely an extension. I turn around to get my paperwork. Total waste of my time. I ended up pounding my taxes out in an hour right before I wrote this review. I have someone helping me with my dads taxes tomorrow. They left a really bad taste in my mouth. They werent upfront and wasted my time. It hasnt been an easy 6 months but when people treat you like this, you take notice.
