Updated - Ascent is selling "Luxury downtown living". In my opinion they are missing the mark. Long story short - the building is slow to make repairs and has poor communication to residents. They took 2 months to repair a Skeeball table then removed it a week or two after it was fixed for noise complaints. They then added a shuffle board table but never told residents when this was added. One of the machines in the weight room has been broken for over a month. The indoor dog run smells awful to the point that many people dont use it. The buildings saving grace is the residents and front desk staff who are all amazing. With better communication and a focus on community events this building would be so much better. To Ascent if you read this update - please do something about the communication and put a little more focus on the community events. Grab and go breakfast is usually a table of picked over bananas no one wants and the crumbs of a few muffins. How about fitness based events? Bringing in an occasional trainer for a demo class to try and sell us on personal training or Yoga classes in the studio for $60 a session isn't really a community event - its promotion for a private business. Other events appear to be timed to minimize participation. A New Years Eve celebration that was announced one week before NYE - when most residents already made plans. Other events planned immediately after the work day ends on odd nights when many are still busy with their commute or dinner.

Rick the maintenance guy told me about this place, glad he did, because it is gorgeous, I think this might be my spot

Nonstop noise issues. Skeeball was not working or shut down a few months. You could still hear people bouncing pool cues off of the floor. A few residents were mad about skew ball being inoperable. So now the noise has resumed as other tenants being able to play skew ball is deemed more important than me being able to enjoy where I live without noise from 6am until midnight as the hours for the amenities allow.

I have had the pleasure to work with the Ascent team in a professional capacity and everyone from Riley, the property manager, to Scott, the concierge who is incredibly gracious to tenants, guests, and vendors alike, are true professionals. I am also fortunate enough to have friends who are tenants. The quality of their apartment, the attention to detail, the concierge services, and the amenities - including the incredible tenant lounge enhanced by artist-in-residence style - are all unmatched in Milwaukee.
