Motel 6 Garland, TX - Northeast Dallas

I booked a room online, went to the motel and first was told my card was declined. After several minutes, he realized he had the wrong reservation. Next, he asked if I had pets, I said I had 2 dogs and I was told I needed to provide a $100 deposit in addition to the stated $50 deposit. I have traveled to many states, stayed at many Motel 6s and this was by far the worst service and experience. The young, male clerk was arrogant and ungracious. I went down the road to another motel. I always claim my pets online when I book, am extremely courteous and tip very well. There was no stated or posted policy regarding additional deposit for dogs. They are likely, used to talking down to people and thinking their clientele is beneath them; the lack of manners made this apparent. Go down the road to another motel/hotel.

It was very clean and in Excellent condition very nice and quiet I highly recommend this motel and will go back again

When I arrived I had a bad experience because the room had an earthy smell and the bathroom shower was in very bad condition, the ceiling was under repair, we asked for a change at reception and at first they didn't want to change us until the maintenance staff came to check that the shower faucet was broken, once we changed rooms it felt a little better, I didn't like that the beds don't have blankets, they are practically in sheets and when we ask the staff they tell us that the blanket is under the sheet but It was more like a bed cover, from the outside the place looks neglected, and I imagine that the pool was out of service for the season. I have had better experiences in Motel 6 than in other cities, this one in particular was not good at all, I would not return.
