Great staff and great doctors. Brought my cat in the middle of the night and the staff was great! Thank you!

Dr. Mantecon was wonderful! She got us in and out quick. My dog is doing so much better thanks to her. This place is great! They printed out a plan for our dog. Doctor even called me at midnight to give me test results! Super good!

The staff needs to learn how to communicate with people who are grieving. I took my puppy in because she didn't have an appetite. Instead of properly explaining everything to me about what I was going to be charged for, I was presented with a number and a plan that the doctor came up with.
I was told that I could either put her down or go with the plan. She's just a puppy. Granted they told me I could go to another hospital and have a cheaper option but the doctor kept telling me that she wouldn't last long even if she went with the intensive care plan.
I decided I'd rather take my chances and took her home. I went home with the thought of her dying that day.
When i took her to a different hospital, i got a different answer. First, the blood transfusion they told me here was necessary for her to survive. The second hospital, said that would've killed her because shes not even 9 weeks. I was told that she couldnt recieve fluids (that i asked for) because they need to know what's wrong first. Second hospital gave her fluids overnight and she's moving around just fine. Also at this hospital, they inserted an IV in her arm, second hospital said that would have caused more harm to her. It should be in her neck. The more that I'm overlooking my puppy's recovery the more angry I get about how they gave me the option of putting her down.
The care they offered me was practically, "how much can you pay?" Whereas the second hospital was "We're going to try to do as much as we can".
Always get a second opinion. I can't imagine how I would've felt afterward, if i chose to put her down.

If i could give this place a negative rating I would!!! It is the most unprofessional, cruel, unethical, unsympathetic and extortionist outfit I have ever encountered. To have to deal with this level of disregard and inhumane pressure tactics at a time of great vulnerability and sadness is unphantomable, especially when such tactics are piled upon a crying minor in the middle of the night as they desperately hold on to their sick pet. The receptionist was nothing more than a mechanical rattler of nonsensical price lists before the vet even walked in. Ms. Ortega who should never be a Vet was just as cold, rude and uncaring. She had no interest in anything besides making sure they excersised maximum pressure and terror over a crying child. Going so far as to threaten that they would report a felony if services were refused or the pet taken to another location. She made sure to repeat the threats but never made an attempt to relieve the suffering of the crying child or sick animal before her. What kind of human being is this, what kind of a clinic operates this way??? After terrorizing our family in the middle.of the night we were all left feeling helpless as well as physically and physiologically abused. This is a place of terror and death not life, sympathy and hope. The clinic should be closed down for gross negligence and severe malpractice by relevant authorities!!! If you love your pet and cherish your dignity, do not under any circumstances go there.
