10 out of 10 stars. I've lived in Los Angeles, Aspen, Boston and beyond and this has truly been the nicest management that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Every single person that works at the front desk and beyond is a gem. Super nice people. The apartments are gorgeous and feel like triple the square footage. The high ceilings have spoiled me forever. I had to move out of state otherwise I would still be there. I initially toured over 18 apartments in NYC and this one stood out way beyond the rest. Love how it's a landmark building and the view of Trinity Church is next level. The rooftop is also incredible and they do an awesome job at hosting resident events. Highly recommend. Thanks for making such a cozy home for me while I was there!

I lived in this building for about 8 months. My experience was stressful due to health issues that didnt allow me to stay for the full term of my lease. I will say the staff is very kind, accommodating and supportive, especially given my circumstances. However, the building itself is concerning. My cat and I both were very reactive to something in my apartment. Could be mold, dust (very dusty) or lead (paint was chipping and peeling all around the apartment). The electrical in the adjacent vacant space (was a bank) caught fire once and filled my hallway with smoke/chemical odor and it was never brought to the attention of the tenants. The elevators constantly go out with no notice. The laundry facilities never worked correctly and were not replaced when tenants were told they would be. And overall it wasnt luxury, that just seems to be a NYC label to make the rent higher. There was hardly ever communication between management and tenants via email, which I had not experienced in my previous rentals.
All in all, the staff makes the place, the apartments and amenities do not. And I had an incredible view. Not a fan of Equity Residential and wouldnt recommend renting from a company with multiple lawsuits.

I lived here in a furnished apartment in 2015-2016. Amazing building with a coffee shop right inside as well as access to the 4, 5 subway from the building which is a great perk when it's raining! I resided in two different apartments during my time at 71 Broadway and both were wonderful. (My first had a beautiful view of Trinity Church.) I moved out before they finished renovations on the rooftop deck area but I heard that its spectacular up there now. Theres a lounge (which was usually empty and very relaxing) on the same floor as the laundry room and I never had any problems with space to do my laundry there.
