This pep boys was amazing! Helped me with way to order a part they didnt have in the best price. Totally helped me get through a credit app that was figured incorrectly by company! And did an outstanding job on my car headlights (total package) both headlights replaced. I will return here for all my car needs! Arlyn Maffi

I brought my car in for replacement TPMS sensors. They put the sensors in and then told me that I would need to go to Toyota to have them sync the sensors with the vehicle's computer system (Why wouldn't they warn me first so I could make ONE trip to Toyota?!). After spending a day in PepBoys I then had to find time for a day at Toyota and the dealership tells me the TPMS sensors PepBoys put in were completely incompatible with my 2009 Yaris!
One would think I would get a refund for faulty labor for incompatible parts, right? WRONG. The manager told me the best he could do was put in a ticket for the PARTS that were not compatible for the car. When I told him that was ridiculous since PepBoys literally put in faulty parts on my car and that the right thing to do was to refund me in full for their error, he said he could only "follow company policy," i.e., don't own up to errors. He pulled the "I'm just following orders" card.
I had to give him the incompatible parts back and he wanted the Toyota receipt, but then he said he couldn't give me ANY paperwork to prove I gave him the parts or that the process was started for a parts refund by PepBoys corporate. I got upset and asked him for a screenshot of AT LEAST the ticket to corporate headquarters and he did that for me. I told him that if corporate headquarters gave me a hard time and there was ZERO paper trail of me giving him the incompatible parts or starting a ticket, then I had no recourse. This seemed to confuse him.
I told him that I might just dispute everything with my credit card company and he implied it wouldn't go well for me because there was a gap between the time they installed the incompatible sensors and the special trip to Toyota THEY told me I would need to make in order for the sensors to actually work. He totally discounted the fact that they installed 100% incompatible sensors and I would not know that until Toyota looked at them.
Long story short: If something goes wrong after you see the PepBoys in Reno, don't expect them to do the right thing because the response you'll get is that they only follow "corporate policy," which is to gaslight you into believing you're somehow to blame for their mistakes and not owed a full refund.
