image I travel a lot with my dog, and this by far has been the most pet friendly hotel I have ever stayed at. There was no pet fee and they gave a bag of doggie treats at check in. The staff at the front desk is amazing and friendly. They are very accommodating. I regret not taking a picture of the room before I made myself at home, but it was nicely renovated. The beds are very comfortable. The room was very clean. It is a great location. The only thing that sucks is parking is not included. You can get valet for an extra fee or park in the garage for a fee.

image No hot water in room, only solution from front desk was to move rooms (at 1am). We should have moved because there was active construction on the weekend we stayed with work beginning bright and early in the room next door to us. Offered a food credit but restaurant was closed so we would have to travel again to get it. Spend your money elsewhere.

image Everything is under construction. Parking to unload was a mess, the parking structure is not cooperative with getting a luggage cart through it and back around to lobby. Room was boiling on a hot June day--they could have set the air to a decent temp when preparing the room. And why does my door have such a gap? Restaurant was closed, but limited room service (with pre-included gratuity already charged). Food was of mixed results. Just not happy after paying full price for this room.

image I've been hoping to have visited this location after having frequented the a small German restaurant right across the street from this location. The unique architecture of the Monaco really stood out in the downtown area.
The location puts you within distance of many bars, especially some really fun themed bars. It also puts you incredibly close to the Gallivan Center which is great for ice skating in the winter and events in the summer.
As for the rooms, there's something very special about them. Quiet, clean, and with an ornate design of some fascinating bygone era.
Unfortunately, I was not able to see some of the higher floors during my stay, nor visit the restaurant at the lobby level, but I'm excited to visit this location again in the future. I am especially excited to see how the renovations pan out.
