We just used Custom Lawn Care for our landscaping project at our newly built home one Beaver Lake. These guys are truly fantastic. They did a beautiful job with planting trees, cleaning out and creating new flower beds and planting bushes and fern for us. They showed up and completed the exactly when they said they would. All the trees, bushes and fern are beautiful. They also built us 2 lumber gardens for our vegetables. We will definitely us them again for future projects and for our lawn care. Very professional and hard workers. Thank you Jason and Drew.

Hard for me to believe the reviews found here. I had an entirely different experience with Custom Lawn Care. I was charged for a job that turned out to be half semi-professional and half incompetent and much of it sloppy. Some of my concerns are: This company doesn't seem to have soil, which I repeatedly asked for, as they used my old mulch in the new rock garden and put none under much of the new (?) sod. Laid such bad sod (you could see through it like netting) and tried to do it without soil substrate, on top of old and dissimilar grass, until I insisted on their using soil first. Toward the end of the second and final day, the supervisor, returned now to finish up, asked me, "where are we gonna get soil?" (This from a landscaper.) The two most significant and costly segments of the project, requiring the laborers to be supervised, necessitated my work and input for about three hours, as the workers were not at all experienced at laying stone and their supervisor had been away from the site much of that day. Further, there was no sand available during the setting of the garden path, which is usually required for stability. The shaded pathway, made of slate (again my stones) was not properly prepared so that at the end all the weeds lined the edges and protruded and the stonework is sitting on top of the dirt and old grass. Comment from superviser "oops, I guess I should have gotten rid of those first". When he offered to spray with Roundup, knowing how I don't like it, I offered at that point to remove weeds myself, as it was late on the second and final day. They were ready to end it there at that point. As for planting the rock garden: Two layers of mulch with fabric in between, and no good soil, means that all the planting is very labor intensive for me. (I had repeatedly asked for good soil and yet the supervisor never brought what I asked for and never addressed it, seeming to ignore that request on all occasions.) I got the price down initially by offering to do the planting myself, thinking there would be a good fluffy soil to work in. In sum, I would have hoped that this would become my backyard oasis. Instead I have disappointment and much repair work ahead to make it look professional. Finally, I remarked t the end that I was disappointed in the results, yet, there was absolutely NO response to that comment. P.S. I paid in full. Anyone doubting my experience is welcome to photos.
