Clarion Hotel Downtown Oakland City Center

This hotel is in a great location. It is in sort of a tough neighborhood, but is 1 block from the BART train, and very centrally located. I could not hear the train from my room - a nice bonus. Clean rooms and quiet. Nice sheets & pillows. Nice Indian food restaurant attached, but did not make the hotel smell like food!

On google maps said "free parking " and it wasn't free we had to pay $15 per night next to the hotel and walk all the way back with our luggage on a street that were a gew homeless and it was dark and scary. Beds sheets didn't look clean.

Conveniently located in Dowtown Oakland. Nice hotel. Well run and maintained. Nice beds and pillows. Towels fluffy. Although there is some construction across street, it has zero effect on stay. Actually was interesting to watch. Hotel very soundproof. Nice breakfast buffet. Staff top notch. Stayed a week here.

Was in town for dinner and a show. The room was very small and the floor was slanted. The bed was firm and uncomfortable. There’s no parking lot for guests to park and I had to park a block away.

Enjoyable stay, nice staff, good location, wonderful Indian restaurant next door.
