The absolute worst experience Ive ever had with any kind of a company let alone a health insurance company. Theyve charged me for two months I did not have their insurance. I highly recommend everybody avoid this company as much as possible. I tried contacting them via phone numerous times about this scenario and what I got was three different customer service employees tell me to hang on and hung up on me. I thought for a moment it was a mistake. I was very wrong. Again he just kept hanging up on me. The absolute worst! The only health insurance company Ive ever came across that will give you heart palpitations and high blood pressure when trying to use their services, rather than treating hes kind of symptoms. My true opinions of this company are explicit. I will let you use your imagination.

Absolutely the worst. To clarify: 1) Every procedure you attempt to get at a doctor's office will be prompted with a "Ooooo...yeah....that's tough to get done.". Literally EVERY procedure or surgery. 2) Every doctor's office that accepts your Healthnet insurance was last remodeled in 1974. Only the ancient and bad doctor's offices accept this insurance. 3) I have had Healthnet cancel a major surgery literally hours before the surgery. I had already been approved, been to pre-surgery, planned vacation after the surgery to recoup and they denied it. Why...just because. NOTE: I changed my insurance to another provider. I got a procedure approved in 1 DAY that Healthnet denied for months. I wish I had read reviews prior to going with Healthnet. They are absolutely horrendous. I could type a book but I'll stick with the above. If you want to be sane, follow my advice. UPDATE: SINCE I WROTE THIS, I HAVE E-MAILED THEM 15+ TIMES, REACHED OUT TO "DAN T." (OBVIOUSLY FAKE NAME AS IT ISN'T ANYWHERE ON LINE) 5x IN APPEALS AND GUESS HOW MANY CALLS BACK I HAVE RECEIVED? IF YOU GUESSED ZERO...YOU ARE CORRECT! IT IS LAUGHABLE HOW BAD THIS BUSINESS IS.

This company is the ABSOLUTE WORST. All of their customer service is outsourced, their billing is outsourced, and prescription approval is outsourced. Everytike you call them you talk to someone from another country who is terrible at speaking English. I had over paid my monthly premium and when asked for a refund check they sent me one in the mail which bounced at my bank. My account has been in good standing for over 25 years and they write bad refund checks. How the hell does that happen from a multi million dollar company if not multi billion dollar company. This is the biggest big business scam in the health insurance industry. They are clearly a middleman company that uses third parties for everything and rips people off. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!

Health Net is absolutely atrocious! I have paid my premiums for years and rarely use my insurance. My knee has been bad for years and continues to get worse. (Meniscus removed years ago, so I am now bone on bone with extreme pain) I finally have an opportunity to get time off of work, and get family members to help me with recovery time needed. I proceed to have multiple appts with my primary doctor and orthopedist to get all lined up for the surgery. Had MRI, X Rays, EKG, and was all set for pre-op appt. All of this was recommended by my doctors. Health Net delayed, then denied, the surgery 10 days before the scheduled date. Ruined everything! When I tried to follow up ( multiple days on the phone for 30-60 mins a day) I was promised call backs from the case manager and the case supervisor. They didnt call back at all. So, someone sitting at a desk, that doesnt see that I have difficulty walking and am in quite a bit of pain on a daily basis, decides that I dont need surgery... over my dotor and orthopedist, who have actually seen me in person. Health Net is happy to take my money, but when it came time for my needs, they did not come through. And, all I could ever do was speak with a lower level customer service rep that would repeat. " I am sorry sir" and " I understand sir". If you are considering Health Net for health insurance...there is nothing to consider. Go elsewhere.
