I was here during the Christmas holiday and counted 5 dogs that were allowed to occupy rooms during my stay. And according to their staff, only 1 was a guide dog. I truly understand everybody's need for a companion, but when your campaign barks through the night, awakening paying customers (me) its no longer a companion, it's a nuisance. I will no longer use this hotel during my visits in San Diego.

Though friendly service, they didn't offer any help besides switching rooms with a leak in the ceiling. There are several leaks and water damage on the 6th floor ceiling.

Very clean & quiet lobby. Actually taken by surprise by how nice it is. A great place for a stay-cation. Beds are nice & most important, the rooms are clean. Great pride too

My stay so far at the consulate hotel is pretty bad. Even though the hotel rooms were non smoking you could smell weed throughout the whole hallway, management in the front desk was pretty bad at enforcing their rules because people were getting away with smoking and you’d literally smell it in your room. They claim they couldn’t do anything if they didn’t know the room number, Neighbors were pretty loud and noisy including party’s at 2:00am in the morning. I had this one maid service lady literally almost walk into my room when I had my sign on clearly “do not disturb†and she claimed she was just checking because I was checking out the following day. It doesn’t matter if I’m checking out or not if the sign is on do not disturb the maid service should know what that means. Rooms were okay spacious but I wish staff and management would do a better job at enforcing their own made rules and train their own staff including maid service better. I’m very disappointed in the staff team for this hotel location.
