We are new to San Jose and needed to book my daughter in for a cleaning; she is five and this was only her second time, they were very accommodating in booking us in and my daughter was very happy.

I've been going to Dr. Lai for over 15+ years. Very thorough and looks out for your best interest. Anna at the front desk is great too and not just because we have the same awesome name. They are very accommodating when I call in for emergency dental issues. Dr. Lai is very calming and great with my 3 girls.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lai for over 20 years and he's absolutely wonderful! He is friendly, thorough, and I love the new mobile appointment reminders. The office is always clean, plenty of parking, and is close to Oakridge Mall (5 minutes). Highly recommend!

I've been seeing Dr. Lai for dental issues for the past 20+ years. My review will be short and simple.1. The office is always clean, even the restroom.2. Anna, the receptionist/his assistant, is always friendly and makes it a point to add an intimate touch to the visit as she has learned kind of who I am as a person. This never hurts in any business.3. Dr. Lai is a consummate professional. First of all, his hands are GENTLE. I can barely feel his injections. He's also somewhat of a perfectionist and may go over the allotted procedure time as he makes sure the job that he did was as good as he reasonably could have done it.4. Not only is he thorough with his work, he also takes the time to explain his findings and review options for treatment.5. I've had a broad spectrum of procedures done:FillingsRoot canals1 implantExtractionsHe or Anna would actually call me up shortly after to see how I was doing. He would even remind me of his cell phone number for those complicated procedures which I don't recall ever using since there was a good outcome on all of them.I actually have moved to San Ramon, but I still drive that 1 hr to see him. My experience has been that good over the last 2 decades.

13 years later- still a very happy customer and have always left feeling extremely satisfied with the quality of service at Almaden Family Dentistry.  I usually come in for standard issues and health maintenance, but recently decided to try whitening my teeth with Dr. Lai.  I can't tell you how many compliments I've received about my teeth/smile since- from friends and strangers!  Not only was the process smooth and pain-less, I was really happy with the results. I'm usually not a fan of doctor office visits, but I feel welcomed by everyone here (Anna at the front desk is always super friendly & helpful. Dr. Le is new and cleaned my teeth last time- and he's just as kind & thorough as Dr. Lai)- and I leave feeling better and more confident.  I'll definitely be a loyal customer for hopefully at least another 13 years.
