Wish I didn't go to school it was way too academically difficult I couldn't make any friends I was miserable people are meanThere were some decent classes I like the literature class is a lot but they were ridiculously hard like they would make you answer test question about how many stairs the staircase had in the book and you would have to have remembered or memorized page where they talked about seven stairs so that's crazyIt's just a crazy crazy school I don't know how else to explain it I had no life school balance here at all it didn't set me up to learn about how to have a normal healthy life I had to learn that in college

Ok first of all this rating is a 2.7 or 2.8, not a 2.Negative:Lynbrook was a very academically challenging school. Sometimes, I felt extremely stressed to a high degree. Junior Year was defenitley the toughest year. The workload was fairly high. Lots of homework. Obviously the school was filled with students who always were obsessed with grades. Me and my group of friends ran into some social problems together at school. The school is also divided into groups of asian and indian boys and girls. So there isn't a lot of diversity. As for the physical structure, the school is so big and I called it a maze. It can take 10 minutes to get from one room to another. The school was also under construction for much of the time I was there. So many places were blocked out and I had to use other routes to get in and out of the school. The principal told us not to step on the plants and go around them, like what is the damn harm? It also took a long time to get over the quad steps in my senior year, 2019-2020. For food, the food served at school was not very great. I also most of the time had cold burgers and cold pasta that my parents made. yuck. Positive:I had some really cool teachers at school who really helped my accommodations. Mr. Kitchen always played a movie and cookies in homeroom. Awesome. Mrs. Levin's cupcakes. Awesome. I made some really good friends and connections and enjoyed talking and spending time with certain people. Some of the teachers made learning fun, and were super funny. P.E was defenitley the most fun class by far.

Seriously eff this place. It only seems like a good school cause the kids there study so hard. It's not like the administration or the teachers are doing some sort of phenomenal job. I know they will think they are doing a good job cause so many kids work hard on their own, try to pad their applications and get into good colleges. But that is different than actually doing a good job. Most teachers just assign a huge load of homework, don't actually teach anything above and beyond what their job minimum is, if they even do that, and all the work keeps getting done so it's not like you can complain. Every one else was able to do 50 calculus equations, how come you can't? Listen parents, IQ doesn't work by osmosis. Sending your dumb kid here won't make them smarter. As a freshman I glanced at the clock while the band teacher was doing his usual yelling and screaming. He caught me and kicked me out of his classroom, but not before verbally dressing me down in front of everyone. Keep in mind I was 13 or 14 at the time. Another teacher stopped talking in the middle of class and went on a tirade cause I "looked bored" or something, and told me to get out his class, splash some water on my face and come back and pay attention. This isn't abberant behavior, this is just sort of what teachers here feel like they can do to you. Fast forward, despite everyone's best efforts here, I did manage to finish college and graduate school. I really believe I could've gone farther if I went somewhere else. The other students were mostly competitive and jerks, I'll refrain from using other language to describe them. Look man, just don't be unathletic, uncharismatic, weak, poor or introverted or not genius level smart and you'll survive.
