Ace Hardware-Alameda Station

Greeter was kinda clueless. I went in asked for a vanity mirror as I just got contacts and need to be able to see my eyes. He said we don't carry those here. I said that's funny your website says you do. Showed him product on website. As soon as he sees item automatically oh they're right there while still being semi impersonally annoyed that I was still there shopping. Hope I never need to go to that store anytime soon.

How can you have a No Browsing Policy I just came in to look at the Traeger section and get some seasoning/accessories. Guaranteed I will never give this location my business again.

If they dedicated more to the "Hardware" & "Supplies" side and not so much of the chachi stuff it would be easier to go here and buy rather than come in, be disappointed that something basic & simple isn't on the shelf and have to go to HD anyway.

Great store and helpful associates. I've been here a few times due to the convenience of the location and them getting it right the first time. Prices are a little bit higher but I take that trade for supporting a more local staple in the neighborhood (also free popcorn). PS - they are very transparent about their bag policy. Don't bring a backpack inside or be prepared to leave it up front.

UPDATED*** Went to ACE and was told they changed their process to my suggestion and they now fill up the tanks while they hold your credit card. Happy and will continue to bring my business to them! Disappointed - Propane fill up changed to full tank only?!?! I use your store all the time, convenient and nice people. I also come to fill my multiple propane tanks and come specifically because I can bring a 1/2, 1/4 full tank and top off. Came the other day and was told it's a full tank only. Asked why and it's because people fill, get their bill but don't go in the store to pay. Discussed the situation with the manger and provided a simple solution - hold credit card or cash before the fill up. The idea was rejected for a couple of reasons of which made no sense when questioned. Please take some simple steps to keep this service. I will never again bring my propane again until this change is reversed. Very unhappy Ace
