Holly Nails

Im not exaggerating when I say this was the worst nail salon service I've ever had. I should have known better when I was the only person there at 1pm on a Saturday. I work in health care and my hands are dry from constant washing and my nails have to be kept short. I asked for dips and the tech INSISTED I had to have fake tips glued on because they were too short. Never ever had that problem before anywhere else. Oh, and they're $7 extra. I just wanted plain white French manicure. $5 extra. Was asked at least 4x if I wanted to add a pedicure. I had to point out she forgot 2 nails when she was doing the base for the dip, which she argued with me about even though there was clearly nothing on those nails and I watched her skip them! She never soaked my hands or pushed back my cuticles, never got around to the paraffin wax which I reminded her of twice. Left with still rough, dry hands, thick uneven tips which I had her cut down to the ends of my fingers so they were completely pointless. $67 before tip for an awful, pushy service.

Asked for a regular $20 pedicure, person took it upon herself to do the $40 one, then proceeded to get mad that I didnt leave a tip, I could have done this at home,saved $, and dodged the nasty attitude towards the end.

I just got a great pedicure from Tina. She did a thorough job on every step of the process and my feet look and feel great. I was quiet and zoned out on my phone for the first half and she let me be, but we did chat toward the end and she was lovely and fun to talk to. The other two women working were also friendly. This shop has been in business for over twenty years, wow! I saw in another review that someone complained that they asked for a $20 pedicure and felt ripped off when they were charged $40: I didn't see a $20 pedicure posted anywhere, and if you think you can get a pedicure in Denver for that price you must have a time machine. $40 is comparable to other shops I've visited in the area, and this was the best service I've received by far! This is my new regular spot and I'll be telling my friends, neighbors, and clients about it too. Thanks Holly Nails and especially Tina!
