SCAMMERS Natasha Dougherty and Kelly Wills I applied after seeing their rental postings and paying $45 for the application fee. 2 days later Natasha want me $ 500 for deposit, she sent me tenant link in there web page, I sent from my bank account...1 or 2 hour later she send an other mail and said they would not rent me because they said I have insufficient income ( rent $1245 and my income $1600 in a week, my credit score 796). Then why you want me a deposit? Then she said she forward my money but not. They do not give my money back... And I paid $45 for application fee but they did not check my credit score. It's been a week and they are not responding to messages. And I paid $45 for application fee for cheking my credit score but they did not check my credit score. I despute the transaction. I am complaint about it Better Business Bureau. They are really SCAMMER, never try to rent apartment from them.

I have had to deal with Natasha Dougherty who was the property manager for the unit I was RENTING. She is by far the WORST, is super RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL person I have ever rented an apartment from. Till date the company holds my security deposit of $1700 and it demands me to pay $500 more before they return my security deposit. No explanation as to why they can't deduct the $500 from my money they hold already ! Stay away from these people and the company. Most of the positive reviews here are from landlords. But they are absolutely HORRENDOUS with renters and will go to any extent to scam you and cause mental agony. The apartments are not well-maintained, no one bothers about the maintenance requests, no proper person to contact and very poor response are few of the many complaints. Avoid renting any properties, especially the ones located at RIVER PLACE in Rosslyn from them as you would get a better rent price from anyone else ! Hope this review helps another person, so they can't scam more people. *Update* Did I break lease agreement : no. Because as per the lease, reassignment of the lease is allowed and after being told that it is, a new person has been allowed to take over. What you refer to as "breaking" lease terms stems from the fact that I haven't paid the $500 assignment fee which is an amount I understand I need to pay as per lease agreement. At no point (please see the 30 odd correspondence emails that have been sent) have I denied paying that amount. I have requested a confirmation in writing about the remaining deposit being returned to me before I make the payment and I was told that such a confirmation cannot be given as the apartment has not been assessed after I left. It has been more than 45 days with the new tenant living there and no one has "assessed" the place. In short, there is no transparency whether my deposit will be returned at all even after I pay the $500. And, it is not a $500 but $1700 that you have held currently. Plus you always have the option of returning the remaining deposit after deducting the $500 from my existing deposit (as the lease states the deposit can be used to pay unpaid bills). Why did I not sue: because the mental agony of it all is not worth it. The comments on rude, unprofessional behavior: every time I have called, the phone was slammed on my face with no clarification on the issues. I call that rude and unprofessional. If my comments mean more business to you: good for you. To judge the honesty of this review, I am sure people will see the other negative reviews which reflect the points I have mentioned and can decide if it is a "hyperbole" fake review. Thanks.
