My husband stayed overnight prior to a cruise. We stayed in a beautiful room with a large oceanfront balcony! We were very pleased with the spacious bathroom. Everything was immaculate. The valet attendants were very polite and courteous as well. We truly hated to leave! We are already planning to come back when we can spend more time there and take advantage of the spa.

The oceanfront room we had offered an amazing view. Rooms are large and the beds firm. This hotel is mostly good but is showing its age some, especially the pool area. Our refrigerator stopped working, the toliet seat was really loose, and we didnt receive room service for two days, but they did compensate us at checkout. Location is really good. Great coffee- bakery shop on the street behind the hotel. Overall a decent place. Bar lady at the pool was great.

Make sure you get a copy of your receipt before leaving. They didn't send us anything and took three weeks to get it. When we finally did a $100 meal that wasn't ours along with a $30 movie was charged to our room. They removed the movie off our bill but not the meal

Great location and very nice ocean view. HOWEVER, room and service seemed equivalent to economy scale hotel. Ive actually stayed at lower tiered hotels with a more clean environment. For the price, one would expect a much cleaner rooms. Given the fact that we had been upgraded, the majority of the experience felt like a complete downgrade. I enter any hotel/resort with a level of reasonable expectations, so this is a fair review.
We were drawn to the beautiful photos, phenomenal views, etc. Its a smoke screen. You get what you see, but you DONT. Yes, of course things look nice from photos and structurally and aesthetic the hotel and amenities are there. The dev are in the details though.
I have NEVER had my sleep disturbed on a resort style vacation due to the fact that I couldnt stop thinking about the mold and mildew that had grown in a shower that seemingly otherwise has been cleaned in the opposite hinge spots on at-least only a few occasions. Shower door hinges appears to have NEVER been cleaned to a point now it appears a brush should be taken to it. This did not just build up over night, days, weeks, this sort of growth takes months. Perhaps weeks with the volume of usage from guest stays.
This level of mildew build up is due to ongoing neglect. It happens over a period of time. Even periodic cleanings would prevent this level. How about periodic visual inspections of such things by property mgmt to not let to have guest find these items during a what is supposed to be a relaxing worry fee vacation stay.
We spent a good portion of our time dealing with and addressing all of these concerns that could have been taken care of by hotel staff if only periodic inspections of the rooms are done behind staff cleaning and guest stays.
As a business owner, I would NEVER get caught with my pants down like this! Management should regroup about how this property is being managed overall, with a focus on CLEANING. The outward aesthetics is one thing, but its the details that are important to people who live, in the least, a decent quality standard.
Lastly, I will say, the front desk staff did work to accommodate and was very nice and apologetic; BUT what we encountered was highly unacceptable and this review is so that, maybe, just maybe they will get their act together and no other guests will have to encounter what we did, to bring them to attention.
And we had a little friend visit us;-) He was just trying to enjoy his stay as well, I guess:-/
I will note-the food and service at the restaurant downstairs was good (I dont believe it is affiliated with the hotel though)
We expected much better. Needless to say, we will not be staying there again:-(

Perfect location with direct access to the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby but expect to pay $30 per person. The main downside was the room. This hotel is a condotel- refitted condos turned into hotel rooms. This is honestly fine, offering kitchen space and spacious living space and bathrooms and a balcony, but the main concern is noise and safety. Since the hotel room is essentially a condo that has been cut in half to accommodate hotel rooms, you are technically sharing a condo with another family if you're unlucky to have a neighbor. There is a mere wooden door separating your room from someone else's room. You will hear everything they are saying and doing through the wooden door and they will hear everything you are doing likewise. Given we payed almost $300 a night, this is unacceptable. This is a significant safety and noise issue, especially if the door separating the rooms can be opened. Personally didn't want to find out since snooping through random doors is a terrible excuse as to why I would be in someone else's room.
Also, if you are a local trying to get away for a while please take an Uber. Driving along Ft. Lauderdale Beach is terrible and parking at this location is an insane $45 a night. You are also charged $45 dollar resort fee a night for the waters, coffee, access to the pool and fitness center, and beach chairs. Might as well use it if you're paying for it.
Wouldn't mind staying again but for the price, I expected to have the bare minimum of privacy in my own room.
Rooms: The rooms were spacious. Includes a kitchen with a microwave, sink, mini-fridge with a freezer, and induction furnace. The bathroom was large; including a double sink, large bathtub, shower, toilet. The living space was exceptional too. Sofa, bed, TV, with a balcony with chairs.
Nearby activities: Lots of places to eat and great access to the beach. Expect to pay $30-60 if you're deciding to eat nearby. All the restaurants along the beach are reservation only so beware of that.
Safety: Area was very safe. Police were everywhere and there was never a moment I felt unsafe.
Walkability: Area is very walkable. Highly advised to not bring a vehicle here.
Food & drinks: The area has good restaurants with all of them having bars. If you're into the night-life and good food then Ft. Lauderdale is an okay place for that.
Noteworthy details: If you're staying at the Atlantic Hotel, be aware that the hotel rooms are condos. The only thing separating your room from someone else's is a door- you will hear everything they are doing and saying and so will your neighbors. Be aware overnight parking is $45 a night. You will be charged a $45 dollar resort fee a night.
