Griffin & Griffin Transmission

Great place! I went there for a diagnostic test on my explorer after being recommended by Bells Automotive shop and based on the small amount of reviews I came across, so I took a gamble lol. Couldn't have been more pleased. Steve Griffin who is the shop owner and does all the work there took great care of me. Gave me some great advice on keeping up my vehicle and even did the diagnostic test for free and and made a point to fit me in with his hectic schedule the day I went. We determined something else was causing my problem and he recommended two mechanic shops to me. Being Bells Automotive and P&L Automotive. Unfortunately Steve is trying to retire from the business and eventually will close the doors for good. He's an awesome honest guy. The business has been around for almost 70 years now and was started by Steve's father and originally set near the corners of university Blvd. And Phillips HWY. Eventually Steve and his brother followed suit and went to work with their father and then eventually took over the family business. Well hopefully Steve hangs around a little while longer for those in need of transmission repair or service. Unfortunately you don't see many of these mom and pop /family owned shops anymore 😕. We will be sad to see ya go Steve! But where ever life takes you after Griffin & Griffin will hopefully be a lot better for you and happy times. 😊 thank you again for your help and kindness!

DO NOT GO HERE, paid this man well over 3k in transmission parts and not only did he steal the performance parts i gave him to install, he used stock parts on my performance transmission, didn't even build it right, used wrong seals on wrong sides and now im having to spend an additional 2500$ to fix what he couldn't do the first time. DO NOT go here unless you wanna end up spending twice as much.
