Updating my review 2024: still my favorite auto shop to go to! I've opted to make this my main mechanic shop for the value I saw and the apparent honesty in their assessments. I saw the good reviews and it was near my new address. I went in because suddenly my vehicle was screeching when moving and I feared for my safety. I knew enough to inspect the brakes for any obstructions or thickness, but none of that seemed to be the issue. I was able to come in quickly mid-pandemic and have my car looked at. The team reported back, honestly, that my brakes still have 9 and 12mm and were practically new and that they couldn't find anything, and that the noise was no longer there. They did not pressure me for anything else nor did they abuse this consultation. I opted for an oil change since it would be due soon anyway as a thanks for the peace of mind. They suggested I clean my air filter too, which to be fair I hadn't changed since Nov 2018 (it is now August 2020) but they reminded me I had a K&M reusable high-performance filter instead of just throwing it away they offered to clean it with the correct products. I left satisfied, but the noise returned; I called back and arranged to drop it Friday (they heard the noise upon my arrival) and leave it over the weekend (beware if you have chunkey keys, they may not fit in the drop box). Monday they called me within two hours of opening and told me that when they completely removed the tire they found the culprit was a hard rock stuck deep and hidden and in such a way in the brake caliper assembly that it wasn't easily detectable, and I was not charged abusively for this service/information. Car is driving fantastically since. Lobby is nice too.
