the amount of direct mail marketing is concerning, especially since i've never been on a cruise and never intend to go on a cruise. the website is not helpful, nor is calling support.

Rename: Cruises of the Living Dead $10,000 for two traveling on a 10 day Caribbean cruise. Booked great excursions. One for a chocolate adventure and one for a rum adventure. Both were canceled. Substituted a Tulum excursion. Complete debacle. Had to walk about six miles total. Was with a group that was mobility challenged. Was told that the group would take an easier route to see the site. Total BS. We stood in under a tree and the guide pointed to various areas that were hundreds of yards away and mansplained about the site while other tourists walked through them. Was then told we would have lunch at an all you can eat and drink buffet. Had to wait over twenty minutes. A couple of hundred or so people there. It was serve yourself. I had four rolls and a beer. People with filthy hands were scooping food like it was their last meal. Wait people sticking fingers in used plastic drink cups snd then waiting on people. Multiple birds were flying in and out of the open building. Filthy beyond any reasonable health standards. Can you say contagion? Just replace the bats with birds. All open serving areas. Yikes! Got worse! Next stop was a rather ramshackle private animal park. Totally unimpressed. Nest stop was in Belize for a small boat wildlife tour. Saw two seabirds and the snout of one manatee about 40 yards away. People in back of us loudly complaining. Awful people. Returned to ship. Wife reportedly became ill with covid. She tested positive. I tested completely negative. About four days left on the cruise. We were directly told we had to quarantine in our 10x20 suite for the remainder of the cruise. Or Else! They could force us to disembark. Sitting in a suite without any direction about refreshing the room. Thus, dirty sheets, towels, etc. We COULD NOT LEAVE OUR SUITE UNDER THREAT OF BEING TOSSED AT THE NEXT PORT. Even though I was not infected and had zero symptoms. I could go on in much greater detall. You get the scenario. The entertainment was horrible. Some marginal From Las Vegas! singer proceeded to present a slide show of his relatives and incessantly talked about them between poorly presented singing. Walked out after 15 minutes. Next night or so, it was Broadway-night Egads. Six or so screeching singers. Walked out after 15 minutes. Terrible experience. Not worth $500surely not $10,000! Onboard / the passengers were senescent mouth breathers who appeared to be trying out for? Walking Dead: the aquatic adventure! Save your money and rewatch Contagion and the Walking Dead. Retitle this adventure? Bait and Switch-The Riviera Misadventure!

You choose a cruise because of the ports. On our recent cruise from the port in Italy to Barcelona we had six ports we were looking forward to and had planned our own excursions, but only two were delivered on the day promised. Two were not delivered at all. Yes, the food is good and the service and staterooms are excellent, but that's not why you choose a particular cruise. When we were told we could not go to the ports because of wind there were no accommodations made for us on board in regards to free services like a drink coupon, complimentary spa treatments, etc as we have experienced on other upscale cruise lines. We were simply told "Ship happens". So we paid for ports that we didn't get to see. If you want to spend this kind of money try Windstar, who makes sure their guests are happy. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
